About Me

I am the Career Guidance Specialist and work with students in grades 7-12 district-wide. At BHS my office is located in the Career Center, where I work with students on future planning and career connections while in high school. I help students determine their career goals and road map the educational pathway to get there through career exploration and planning activities and taking students on field trips to tour post-high school training/education/employment options. I work with students interested in going to 2 or 4-year universities, but I also specialize in working with students interested in apprenticeships, military, trade, or technical schools or community colleges.

I am also the Academic Coach Advisor/Teacher. This intro to teaching course is a combination of learning introduction to teaching concepts and working in a classroom as an assistant teacher for part of the week.

Outside work I am the mom of three children and can usually be found outside doing something active. I am a swimmer, runner, rock climber, yogi, and gardener. After graduating from BHS I took a GAP year before studying Biological Anthropology and Chemistry at Western Washington University. After college spent several years working as an EMT, baker, restaurant manager, tribal consultant and traveling the world. I love working in the district where I grew up.
