I’ve been teaching social studies at BHS since 2014, and I love it. I love learning about the world and deepening my understanding of history and culture, and I love working with students as they develop their own curiosity, interests and passions. I want my classes to be places where students feel safe and supported as well as challenged to grow and confront new truths and perspectives. I look forward to seeing my students every day.
Teaching is the most important part of my life, but there are other parts, too. One is music--playing, writing, studying, jamming, gigging, discovering, listening, seeing it live, all of it. Like teaching, it’s a way of life. (If you know, you know.) I also enjoy a good hike, preferably long and through someplace beautiful or interesting in a historical or cultural sense. If you’ve landed on this page because you or your child is in my class, I look forward to meeting you, and feel free to reach out.
