Department: Math

I graduated from the University of Oregon and liked it so much in Eugene that I began my teaching career there. When my two children left for college, my husband and I decided that we wanted an adventure, and so we moved to Bainbridge. We love being near water and nature and deeply enjoy the beauty that this island has to offer. I also started a vegetable garden (during Covid, of course) and am quickly learning what won't grow in shade. I think it is important to always be learning something new. I have taught just about every math class, including AP and IB courses. I enjoy working with teenagers and am uplifted by their energy. Every year I learn a lot from my students, and I think they learn a lot from me, too.
