After graduating from high school, I lived with my cousins in Gualeguaychú, Argentina, and attended their school as an exchange student for a year. It completely changed the course of my life.
When I returned to the US, I earned my degree in Spanish at the University of Washington and then went to Sonobe, Kyoto, Japan, to teach English for two years in a high school housed in a 1200 year-old castle.
After returning to the US and earning my Master in Teaching degree from UW, I raised two wonderful children and then returned to teaching. I have been teaching Spanish on Bainbridge Island since 2011.
When I’m not teaching, I love to read, sing, study languages, eat popcorn and watch movies, play games with my family, cheer on the Spartronics and BISD musicians, actors and artists, eat at Miguelito’s, and travel.
