Welcome to English! In both English 9 and English 10 we will expand our curiosity, open our minds to new ideas, and improve our critical thinking and communication skills. How will we do all of these cool things? By reading and writing every day! I'm excited to work with you this year and I look forward to learning more about your story.

For now, here is a little bit about me: I've been teaching English at BHS since 2019. I am married to a BHS grad (Class of 1989!) and we have three daughters who were raised in the Bainbridge Island School District (classes of 2013, 2016 and 2019). Teaching is both my profession and my purpose--I love working with high school students! But when I'm not working you'll find me in my garden, reading a book, riding my bike or hanging out with my family. I'm excited to begin our work together!
