CCS/Tutorial
CCS & Tutorial
Community, Culture & Self (CCS)
CCS takes place from 10:20–11:05 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays and serves as our schoolwide homeroom and community-building period. Students will remain with an assigned grade-level CCS teacher and participate in activities focused on social-emotional learning, executive functioning, academic and post-high school planning, school culture, assemblies, grade-level activities, and other important school business. CCS is a credit-bearing course, with students earning 0.25 Pass/Fail credit through participation and reflection.
Tutorial: Dedicated Time for Academic Support
Tutorial takes place from 2:45–3:15 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays and is dedicated specifically to academic support. Think of it as a bridge between classroom instruction and the independent work students are expected to complete outside of school. Students can use this time to meet with a teacher, complete homework or make-up work, prepare for assessments, collaborate with classmates, or receive targeted academic and social/emotional support.
