We have much to celebrate at BHS as all of our fall sports teams have qualified for postseason competition! We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes and coaches for their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments this season. Postseason competitions get underway this week, along with the opening of our fall play, Marian, or the True Tale of Robin Hood. We encourage our families and community to come out and support our Spartans on the fields, in the arena, in the pool, or in the theater. It's always a joy to watch our students showcase their talents, pursue their passions, and share their gifts with our community. Roll Sparty!

We recently administered our Panorama Student Survey to gather valuable feedback about our students' experiences at BHS. We invite you to review our schoolwide results which highlight both our strengths and areas for growth. While we ranked above the 90th percentile nationally in school safety and perseverance, two areas that stood out as opportunities for improvement were students' sense of belonging and how much they value school. These findings reinforce the importance of our work this year to help every student Belong, Engage, and Thrive. Both areas are priorities in our 2026-27 BHS School Improvement Plan which we will present to the BISD School Board on November 5. We encourage you to review both presentations to learn more about what our students are telling us and how we plan to respond.

BHS Theatre Presents:
Marian, or The True Tale of Robin Hood (Teen Edition)
Support BHS Theatre students in this gender-bending, patriarch-smashing, hilarious new take on the classic tale. Robin Hood is (and has always been) Maid Marian in disguise, and leads a motley group of Merry Men (few of whom are actually men) against the greedy Prince John. As the poor get poorer and the rich get richer, who will stand for the vulnerable if not Robin? What is the cost of revealing your true self in a time of trouble? Come find out!
Friday, November 6 @ 7pm

As you may have noticed, we recently updated our school websites to replace direct staff email addresses with secure contact forms. This change was an important step to boost our cybersecurity and protect our school networks from phishing attacks.
Because this is a new process this year, we want to make sure you always know the best way to get in touch with us!
-
To reach a teacher directly: Please use the secure contact forms located on our school’s staff directory page.
-
If you aren't sure who to contact: You can always use the main email address listed at the very bottom of our school’s homepage. This email goes directly to our main office managers, who will make sure your message is quickly forwarded to the exact right person.
Thank you for your patience as we transition to this more secure system, and for your continued partnership!

Your goals, your credits, your future! November is a great time to check in on attendance and academic progress. Showing Up and Showing Out means being present, arriving on time, and making the most of opportunities to learn, connect, and move closer to graduation.
Make November count:
- Prioritize sleep and establish a reliable morning routine.
- Stay organized and plan ahead for assignments and assessments.
- Attend every class and arrive on time to maximize learning.
- Reach out to teachers, counselors, or school staff when challenges arise.
Consistent attendance helps students stay on track with credits, strengthen relationships, and build habits that support success beyond high school.
Attendance isn't about perfection; it's about showing up for yourself and your future.
