BHS Community Newsletter ~ September 3, 2026

What a great start to the 2026–27 school year! We kicked things off with our annual Spartan Startup, welcoming our freshmen and students new to BHS with the help of our outstanding Link Crew student leaders. A huge shout-out also goes to our PTSO for sponsoring this year’s BET on Blue & Gold staff theme shirts – Belong. Engage. Thrive. We’re grateful to all of the parents and guardians who made time to join us for our PTSO Meet & Greet and help us start the year with such a strong sense of community. Of course, the best part of all has been welcoming our smiling students back into the building and seeing BHS come alive again!

Our students are already settling into their routines, learning the purpose and procedures of our new CCS (Community, Culture, & Self) and Tutorial periods, and our staff is rocking it in the classrooms. Today’s pep assembly brought plenty of Blue & Gold energy and reminded us just how special it is when our entire Spartan community comes together. That spirit continues this Friday with our first home sporting event of the year – Spartan Football. Come on out as we honor our Suquamish Tribe neighbors, enjoy a performance from our award-winning band, and cheer our Spartans on to victory!

JostensPIX will be on-site in Paski Gym on Friday for School Picture Day. Most students will have photos taken during assigned English classes. 

All Running Start students and those without an English class are welcome to take their photo any time between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Note: photographers will take their lunch break from 12:45 - 1:15 PM.

Make Up/Retake Day is October 15.

For students who have an asthma or allergy health plan in place and plan to self-carry their medication(s), please bring your inhaler and/or epipen to your photo day time slot, as Nurse Emily and Nurse Karin will be in the gym checking you off and verifying your medication(s). Thank you in advance! 

We are pleased to announce that Bainbridge High School is providing a Student Assistance Program 1 to improve the social and emotional health of our students. The Student Assistance Program includes education, intervention and recovery support services.

All BHS home football, volleyball and basketball game tickets are sold online through Hometown Ticketing. Families and students may purchase either individual tickets for each game they attend OR a pass for entry to multiple games this fall and winter.

STUDENTS: Once an ASB Membership is purchased through Online Payments, students can redeem a BHS ASB Membership Pass through Hometown Ticketing (link to instructions).

FAMILIES: All game tickets will be sold online this year.  Multi-pass options are available at a discount.

Seniors, your last year at BHS has begun! We want to make sure you and your families stay on top of dates and deadlines. You can refer to the Senior Information page periodically as dates are always being added.

First deadline: Senior Portraits and Grad Ads are due October 30.

ASB memberships, 2026-27 BHS yearbook and fall participation fees may be purchased now through the online payment site. 

ASB MEMBERSHIP is required to participate in sports and clubs and will trigger discounts and waivers for various school events throughout the year. (Includes BHS ASB Membership Pass to sports events - see Athletics section above for more information)

YEARBOOK– Buying a yearbook is optional, however, we order based on the number of students who buy one at the start of the school year. Once the order is placed, the number of additional yearbooks available is limited and are sold on a first come, first served basis at the end of the school year. 

We are in the process of assigning parking permits to our on campus lots for our juniors and seniors. It's important for ALL students to know that they are not allowed to park in Staff Lots at any time before and during the school day. Specifically, if students did not pay for a parking spot at the Masonic Lodge, do not park there during school hours. The Masonic Lodge will have your vehicle towed if you do so moving forward. The High School does not manage the numbered/signed spots. If you park in the Staff spots, you will receive a parking ticket. 

The BHS student lots (Tennis, Pit and Aquatic) are open until the end of next week. We will begin to ticket students who are parking on campus without a parking permit on Sept 14. Lastly, students who are attending open lifting in the mornings before school will need to park in any of the student parking lots. Those students that do not possess a BHS parking permit will need to move their car afterwards, or they may receive a ticket. 

Students who have applied for a parking permit on the BHS campus (juniors and seniors) will be notified next week. For student drivers who need FREE parking, the Church of Latter Day Saints off of Madison allows BHS students to park there on a first come, first served basis.
