STATE-REQUIRED TESTING ~ MAY 21-24

Image of SBA and WCAS logosState-required testing for 10th and 11th grade students will occur from Tuesday, May 21 - Friday, May 24 this year. BHS will be on a modified testing schedule, with all tests beginning at 8:45 each morning.

Please take note of grade-specific testing dates:

  • 10th grade Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) in Math and English Language Arts: May 21-22 (English); May 23-24 (Math).  All 10th grade students will test on all four days.

  • 11th grade Washington State Assessment of Science (WCAS): May 22, 2024.

Students in 11th grade who need to retake SBA Math or ELA to meet the graduation pathway requirement will have the opportunity to do so at this time.  Counselors will reach out to 11th grade students who have not yet met this requirement to determine whether they will need to test in May.

Here is the school-wide adjusted bell schedule for that testing week. Grade-level specific testing information will be sent to 10th and 11th grade families in May.

ONLINE PAYMENT SITE

image of a $ signAP Exam Fees: Students taking AP classes are required to take the corresponding AP Exam.  Please refer to this information about College Board deadlines/fees, etc.

Miscellaneous Fees/Fines: Check to see if there are any outstanding fees or fines for your student. This can include parking tickets, sports fees, overdue books (these fines are removed from the system if books are returned in good condition) and other items. It is especially important for senior students to be thinking about now as fines must be cleared upon graduation.

SENIORS: Plan ahead now to make sure fines are cleared upon graduation. Check on current status of student fines through the online payment site.

Need an alternative to paying online?  Cash or checks payable to BHS are always accepted at the accounting office in the 200 building.
