Department: Administration
Principal
Great schools are built on great relationships. I’ve believed that for as long as I can remember, and it’s one of the biggest reasons I love what I do. There is nothing quite like the energy of a high school – the excitement before a big game or performance, the conversations in the hallway, the pride students feel when they accomplish something they didn’t think was possible. Those moments are why I’m here. My goal is simple: to build on a tradition of excellence and a culture of belonging in order to help our students become the very best version of themselves.
I’ve been blessed to spend my career as a teacher, coach, athletic director, and principal, and every stop along the way has reminded me that people always come first. Relationships matter. Trust matters. Showing up matters. You’ll see me cruising the halls, hanging in the commons, visiting classrooms, cheering at games, applauding concerts and theater performances, and celebrating the countless ways our students shine. I believe leadership is about being present, listening well, working alongside others, and never asking someone to do something you’re not willing to do yourself.
Our family is incredibly grateful to join the community of Bainbridge Island, and we couldn’t be more fired up to be part of the Spartan family! Outside of school, I love spending time with family and friends, attending competitions and performances, and exercising as much as possible. Whether we meet at a school event, a local store, or on the ferry, I hope you’ll introduce yourself. I’d love the opportunity to get to know you. Here’s to an incredible year together!
