Message from the Principal

Dear Families,

As we officially step into the spring season, there is a wonderful sense of momentum in our halls. From the sounds of instruments tuning up to the cheering heard from the athletic fields, our school is buzzing with life.

We want to extend a sincere thank you to our incredible PTSO for the lovely “Pi" lunch provided to our staff on Friday, March 13. While it wasn't quite Pi Day, it was a perfectly timed and much-appreciated treat that was thoroughly enjoyed by our entire team. We are so lucky to have a parent organization that consistently goes above and beyond to make our teachers feel seen and valued. Thank you for the "slice" of kindness!

Additionally, please remember that our Band Concert is tonight. Our student musicians have been practicing tirelessly to perfect their repertoire, and it promises to be an evening of great talent and hard work. We hope to see you in the audience at 7:00 PM in the Theater.

Spring sports have also officially started. It is wonderful to see our athletes out on the fields. As we all know, spring weather can be a bit unpredictable. We are hopeful that we will not have to reschedule too many contests because of the weather. For updated information, please see the daily bulletin for information and scheduling updates.

We are constantly inspired by the support our families show for our extracurricular programs. Whether you are sitting in the bleachers or the front row of a concert, your presence makes a world of difference to our students.

Warmly,
Ruth Medsker

Check for Fines and Fees Online

BOOK FINES: Clear or avoid fines by returning school books, sports team uniforms and materials no longer needed. The online payment site lists overdue items as fines that will automatically be removed when items (returned in good condition) are scanned in at the library or paid for through the payment site.
FEE BASED CLASSES - Please check the online payment site to review and pay fees related to Science, Art, AP and Band classes. Semester 2 class fees are now loaded and ready for payment.
FEE WAIVER AND SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION - We would like ALL BISD high school students to have access to the many activities and academic opportunities that we offer at BHS. If your family is in need of financial assistance, information on how to access support can be found here on the BHS website.

Support Our Kleenex Drive

Many thanks to our BHS families who heeded Principal Medsker's call for Kleenex donations last week. We are inching towards our goal of 100 boxes by Spring Break. If you are able to pick up a box or two the next time you are at the store, our staff and students would appreciate it.
